‘The Crazy Ones’ Debuts Strong With 15.51 Million Viewers | Haider Rifaat
The new comedy television series “The Crazy Ones” starring Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar made its debut on September 26th, 2013 at 9PM on the CBS network. Despite the mixed reviews from numerous critics, the show debuted strong with the premiere episode accumulating 15.51 million viewers making it the season’s number one new television show. ‘The Crazy Ones’ was dubbed as one of the most talked about shows of 2013 and many critics believed that it would prove a success for the CBS network which was correctly predicted.
The series has been created by David E. Kelley and also stars James Wolk, Hamish Linklater and Amanda Setton in the leading roles. People have still got a soft spot for the Academy Award winning legend, Robin Williams. In addition, ‘The Crazy Ones’ is Sarah Michelle Gellar’s first comedy television series as well. The half hour comedy series focuses on the world of advertising and the occasional absurdities people have to deal with.
Williams plays Simon Roberts, an advertising executive who owns the agency “Roberts & Roberts.” Gellar plays his daughter, Sydney Roberts who is the complete opposite of her father, Simon. The show proved a successful comeback for both, Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar. ‘The Crazy Ones’ can be seen every Thursday nights at 9PM on the CBS network.
